Yes, I met them again.... lol. It's really hard to break the habit of not saying hi to them by now haha.
ooh yeah. I know exactly what you mean. I didn't know about them THAAT far back ago, but I knew about them early enough that they'd reply to myspace messages in one day. (My first show was at the Croatian Cultural Centre.) And now it's like, "oh... they're getting famous...." I mean, like you said, I'm really happy for them, but it's just kind of sad cause you lose that intimacy. But oh well. You can't do much about it.

with them after shows and just having casual conversations with them

Nice, nice. Yes, that was a good show. Back during those times when you could see the FRONT of the line, only having arrived like... half an hour before the show. Or maybe that's just my imagination... But yeah, no kidding. It would be a total pity if this isn't happening to them right now. Aw, yeah. Now it's like, "Hey! How are you? Sorry, but can I have a quick photo? Okay, thanks, bye!"; however, it was a little more chill at the West Fest earlier this year. They weren't the main thing, so they came out at the front, and I got to chat with them a little bit, which was a really nice change. oooh well.
